Spring

Spring is a bueatiful time to visits the straits area. The snow is thawing and Mackinaw City has so much to offer. Tour Colomial Michilimackinac, see a Lumberjack show, or even try your luck at Mackin Axe.

Many of the local restaurants are also starting to open. No trip to Mackinaw City is complete with ordering a specialty pizza from Mama Mia’s Pizza.

Summer

During the summer months everything is open from state parks to gift shops to The Mackinaw Club Golf Course. Visit some of the nearby attractions by land or by water including Mackinac Island, and St. Igance. Both major ferry services, Sheplers and Starline are both located in downtown Mackinaw City and run nearly around the clock.

Fall

When summer is over and fall starts to set in, take a scenic color drive to see the fall colors, or enjoy taking in the colors and the Mighty Mac from the top of Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. It might be a little cold, but the sites and colors are worth it! Late in the fall, as winter sets in, things begin to slow down. Winter

Winter sports and outdoors are happening all winter long. While some of the restaurants and tourist attractions are closed, you can still stay busy outside or find a relaxing cabin or bed and breakfast to hunker down in. Audie’s and Dixon Saloon are two restaurants that stay open year-round.
